كتاب الطلاق
Al-Kassem Ibn Mouhammad a rapporté que Aicha, la mère des croyants, a dit: «Au sujet de Barira, il y avait trois jugements dont l'un d'eux exigeait son affranchissement. Lui donnant le choix, elle opta pour garder son mari». Alors, l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) dit: «Le patronage est du droit de celui qui a affranchi». Puis l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) Sur lui 1a grâce et la paix d'Allah entra alors qu'une marmite pleine de viande, bouillait. On lui servit du pain et de la nourriture qui se trouvait à la maison (de Aicha). L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) dit: «N'ai-je pas vu une marmite où se trouvait de la viande»? On lui répondit: «Oui, certes, Ô Envoyé d'Allah, mais cette viande est une aumône faite à Barira, et toi, tu ne manges pas de ce qui est une aumône». Alors, L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) répondit: «Elle est une aumône pour Barira, et pour nous un cadeau»

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ فِي بَرِيرَةَ ثَلاَثُ سُنَنٍ فَكَانَتْ إِحْدَى السُّنَنِ الثَّلاَثِ أَنَّهَا أُعْتِقَتْ فَخُيِّرَتْ فِي زَوْجِهَا وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْوَلاَءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ " . وَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْبُرْمَةُ تَفُورُ بِلَحْمٍ فَقُرِّبَ إِلَيْهِ خُبْزٌ وَأُدْمٌ مِنْ أُدْمِ الْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَلَمْ أَرَ بُرْمَةً فِيهَا لَحْمٌ " . فَقَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ ذَلِكَ لَحْمٌ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَى بَرِيرَةَ وَأَنْتَ لاَ تَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هُوَ عَلَيْهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَهُوَ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad that A'isha umm al-muminin, said, "There were three sunnas established in connection with Barira:firstly was that when she was set free she was given her choice about her husband, secondly, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said about her, 'The right of inheritance belongs to the person who has set a person free,' thirdly, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came in and there was a pot with meat on the boil. Bread and condiments were brought to him from the stock of the house. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Didn't I see a pot with meat in it?' They said, 'Yes, Messenger of Allah. That is meat which was given as sadaqa for Barira, and you do not eat sadaqa.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'It is sadaqa for her, and it is a gift for us

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ بریرہ کے سبب سے شرع کی تین باتیں معلوم ہوئیں ایک یہ کہ بریرہ جب آزاد ہوئی اس کو اختیار ہوا اگر چاہے اپنے خاوند کو چھوڑ دے دوسرا یہ کہ بریرہ جب آزاد ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ولا اس کو ملے گی جو آزاد کرے تیسرا یہ کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بریرہ کے پاس تشریف لائے گوشت کی ہانڈی چڑھی ہوئی تھی بریرہ نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے سالن پیش کیا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا وہ ہانڈی چڑھی ہوئی ہے گوشت کی لوگوں نے کہا یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وہ گوشت صدقہ کا ہے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صدقہ نہیں کھاتے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ بریرہ پر صدقہ ہے اور ہمارے واسطے ہدیہ ہے بریرہ کی طرف سے ۔
