Rapporté par Jabir ibn Abdullah : Les gens sont venus voir le Prophète ﷺ en pleurant à cause de la sécheresse. Il a alors invoqué : « Ô Allah ! Donne-nous une pluie qui nous redonne des forces, abondante, féconde et bénéfique, sans nous nuire, accorde-la-nous sans tarder. » Le narrateur dit : À ce moment-là, le ciel s’est couvert de nuages

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَوَاكِي فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيئًا مَرِيعاً نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ عَاجِلاً غَيْرَ آجِلٍ " . قَالَ فَأَطْبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّمَاءُ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The people came to the Prophet (ﷺ) weeping (due to drought). He said (making supplication): O Allah! give us rain which will replenish us, abundant, fertilising and profitable, not injurious, granting it now without delay. He (the narrator) said: Thereupon the sky became overcast
Traduction en ourdou
جابربن عبداللہ ؓ کا بیان ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس کچھ لوگ (بارش نہ برسنے کی وجہ سے) روتے ہوئے آئے تو آپ ﷺ نے یوں دعا فرمائی «اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا، مَرِيئًا مَرِيعًا، نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ، عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ آجِلٍ» ”اے اللہ! ہمیں بارش عنایت فرما، ازحد مفید، مددگار، بہترین انجام والی، جو شادابی لائے، نفع آور ہو، کسی ضرر کا باعث نہ بنے اور جلدی آئے، دیر نہ کرے۔“ سیدنا جابر ؓ نے بیان کیا کہ (اس دعا کے بعد فوراً) ان پر بادل چھا گیا۔
