Rapporté par Anas : Le Prophète ﷺ n’avait pas l’habitude de lever les mains dans ses invocations, sauf lorsqu’il priait pour la pluie. Alors il les levait si haut qu’on voyait la blancheur de ses aisselles

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ لاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي شَىْءٍ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ إِلاَّ فِي الاِسْتِسْقَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas:The Prophet (peace be upon him) was not accustomed to raise his hands in any supplication he made except when praying for rain. He would then raise them high enough so much so that the whiteness of his armpits was visible
Traduction en ourdou
انس رضی اللہ عنہ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم استسقا کے علاوہ کسی دعا میں ( اتنا ) ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے ( اس موقعہ پر ) آپ اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اتنا اٹھاتے کہ آپ کی بغلوں کی سفیدی دیکھی جا سکتی تھی ۱؎۔
