Hadith 538 — Livre 6: The Book of the Times (of Prayer)
كتاب الأوقات
Rapporté par Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) nous a dirigés dans la prière du Maghrib, puis il n’est pas sorti vers nous jusqu’à ce que la moitié de la nuit soit passée. Ensuite, il est sorti et les a dirigés dans la prière, puis il a dit : « Les gens ont prié et sont allés dormir, mais vous êtes encore en état de prière tant que vous attendez la prière. Si ce n’était pas pour la faiblesse de certains et la maladie des malades, j’aurais ordonné que cette prière soit retardée jusqu’à la moitié de la nuit. »

أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَةَ الْمَغْرِبِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْنَا حَتَّى ذَهَبَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلُّوا وَنَامُوا وَأَنْتُمْ لَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلاَةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَلَوْلاَ ضَعْفُ الضَّعِيفِ وَسُقْمُ السَّقِيمِ لأَمَرْتُ بِهَذِهِ الصَّلاَةِ أَنْ تُؤَخَّرَ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in Maghrib prayer, then he did not come out to us until half the night had passed. Then he came out and led them in prayer, then he said: 'The people have prayed and gone to sleep, but you are still in a state of prayer so long as you are waiting for the prayer. Were it not for the weakness of the weak and, the sickness of the sick, I would have commanded that this prayer be delayed until halfway through the night

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم لوگوں کو مغرب پڑھائی، پھر آپ نہیں نکلے یہاں تک کہ آدھی رات گزر گئی، پھر نکلے اور آپ نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی، پھر فرمایا: لوگ نماز پڑھ کر سو گئے ہیں، اور تم لوگ جب تک نماز کا انتظار کرتے رہے نماز ہی میں تھے، اگر کمزور کی کمزوری، اور بیمار کی بیماری نہ ہوتی تو میں حکم دیتا کہ اس نماز کو آدھی رات تک مؤخر کیا جائے ۔
