Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Nous sommes restés dans la mosquée une nuit en attendant que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) vienne prier l’Isha. Il est sorti alors qu’un tiers de la nuit ou plus était passé, et quand il est arrivé, il a dit : « Vous attendez une prière que les fidèles d’aucune autre religion n’attendent. Si je ne craignais pas de rendre cela trop difficile pour ma communauté, je les aurais dirigés dans la prière à ce moment-là. » Puis il a ordonné au muezzin de faire l’Iqamah et il a prié

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَكَثْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ فَقَالَ حِينَ خَرَجَ " إِنَّكُمْ تَنْتَظِرُونَ صَلاَةً مَا يَنْتَظِرُهَا أَهْلُ دِينٍ غَيْرُكُمْ وَلَوْلاَ أَنْ يَثْقُلَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَصَلَّيْتُ بِهِمْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ " . ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:"We stayed in the Masjid one night waiting for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to pray 'Isha'. He came out to us when one-third of the night or more had passed, and he said when he came out: 'You are waiting for a prayer for which the followers of no other religion are waiting. Were it not that I would impose too much difficulty on my Ummah, I would have led them in prayer at this time.' Then he commanded the Mu'adhdhin to say the Iqamah and he prayed
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم کہتے ہیں کہ ایک رات ہم نماز عشاء کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا انتظار کرتے رہے، جب تہائی یا اس سے کچھ زیادہ رات گزر گئی تو آپ نکل کر ہمارے پاس آئے، اور جس وقت نکل کر آئے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم لوگ ایک ایسی نماز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو کہ تمہارے سوا کسی اور دین کا ماننے والا اس کا انتظار نہیں کر رہا ہے، اگر میں اپنی امت پر دشوار نہ سمجھتا تو انہیں اسی وقت نماز پڑھاتا ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مؤذن کو حکم دیا، تو اس نے اقامت کہی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز پڑھائی۔
