كتاب الوصايا
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Sa'd a consulté le Messager d'Allah ﷺ au sujet d'un vœu que sa mère devait accomplir, mais elle est morte avant de le faire. Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a dit : « Accomplis-le pour elle. »

أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ اسْتَفْتَى سَعْدٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي نَذْرٍ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ فَتُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا ".
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:"Sa'd consulted the Messenger of Allah about a vow which his mother had to fulfill, but she died before doing so. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Fulfill it on her behalf

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ایک نذر کے متعلق پوچھا جو ان کی ماں کے ذمہ تھی اور اسے پوری کرنے سے پہلے ہی وہ انتقال کر گئیں، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم ان کی طرف سے نذر پوری کر دو“۔
