Rapporté par Sa'd : Le Prophète lui a rendu visite alors qu'il était malade, et il a dit : "Ô Messager d'Allah, puis-je léguer toute ma richesse ?" Il a dit : "Non." Il a dit : "La moitié ?" Il a dit : "Non." Il a dit : "Le tiers ?" Il a dit : "Un tiers, et un tiers c'est beaucoup

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَادَهُ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُوصِي بِمَالِي كُلِّهِ قَالَ " لاَ ". قَالَ فَالشَّطْرَ قَالَ " لاَ ". قَالَ فَالثُّلُثَ قَالَ " الثُّلُثَ وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ أَوْ كَبِيرٌ ".
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Sa'd that the Prophet visited him when he was sick, and he said:"O Messenger of Allah, shall I bequeath all of my wealth?" He said: "No." He said: "Half?" He said: "No." He said: "One-third?" He said: "One-third, and one-third is much or large
Traduction en ourdou
سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کی بیماری میں ان کی عیادت کی، انہوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں اپنے سارے مال کی وصیت کر دوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”نہیں“، کہا: آدھے کی کر دوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”نہیں“، کہا: تہائی کی کر دوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایک تہائی کی کر دو، اگرچہ ایک تہائی بھی زیادہ ہے یا بڑا حصہ ہے“۔
