Hadith 2130 — Livre 22: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le Messager d’Allah a dit : « Ne jeûnez pas avant Ramadan. Jeûnez quand vous voyez le croissant et arrêtez le jeûne quand vous le voyez. Si les nuages vous empêchent de le voir, alors complétez trente jours. »

Texte arabe original
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَصُومُوا قَبْلَ رَمَضَانَ صُومُوا لِلرُّؤْيَةِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِلرُّؤْيَةِ فَإِنْ حَالَتْ دُونَهُ غَيَايَةٌ فَأَكْمِلُوا ثَلاَثِينَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:"The Messenger of Allah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: Do not fast before Ramadan. Fast when you see it and stop fasting when you see it, and if clouds prevent you from seeing it, then complete Thirty (Days)
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”رمضان سے پہلے روزہ مت رکھو، چاند دیکھ کر روزہ رکھو، اور ( چاند ) دیکھ کر ( روزہ ) بند کرو، ( پس ) اگر چاند سے ورے بادل حائل ہو جائے تو تیس ( دن ) پورے کرو“۔
