Rapporté par Al-Awza'i : "Az-Zuhri m'a rapporté, il a dit : 'Ata bin Yazid, de la part d'Abu Ayyub : Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a dit : 'Le witr est une obligation, et celui qui veut prier le witr avec sept rak'ahs, qu'il le fasse ; celui qui veut prier le witr avec cinq, qu'il le fasse ; celui qui veut prier le witr avec trois, qu'il le fasse ; et celui qui veut prier le witr avec une, qu'il le fasse

أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزِيدٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِخَمْسٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِثَلاَثٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
Al-Awza'I said:"Az-Zuhri narrated to me, he said: 'Ata bin Yazid, from Abu Ayyub: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Witr is a duty, and whoever wants to pray witr with seven (rak'ahs), let him do so; whoever wants to pray witr with five, let him do so, whoever wants to pray witr with three, let him do so; and whoever wants to pray witr with one, let him do so
Traduction en ourdou
اوزاعی نے زہری سے اور زہری نے عطاء بن یزید سے اور عطاء نے ابوایوب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وتر حق ہے، جو چاہے پانچ پڑھے، جو چاہے تین پڑھے اور جو چاہے ایک پڑھے ۔
