Rapporté par Duwaid bin Nafi' : "Ibn Shihab m'a informé, disant : 'Ata bin Yazid m'a rapporté de la part d'Abu Ayyub : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : 'Le witr est une obligation, et celui qui veut prier le witr avec sept rak'ahs, qu'il le fasse ; celui qui veut prier le witr avec cinq, qu'il le fasse ; celui qui veut prier le witr avec trois, qu'il le fasse ; et celui qui veut prier le witr avec une, qu'il le fasse

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ضُبَارَةُ بْنُ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي دُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْوِتْرُ حَقٌّ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِسَبْعٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِخَمْسٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِثَلاَثٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَوْتَرَ بِوَاحِدَةٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
Duwaid bin Nafi' said:" Ibn Shihab informed me, saying: 'Ata bin Yazid narrated to me from Abu Ayyub: That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Witr is a duty, and whoever wants to pray witr with seven (rak'ahs), let him do so; whoever wants to pray witr with five, let him do so, whoever wants to pray witr with three, let him do so; and whoever wants to pray witr with one, let him do so
Traduction en ourdou
دوید بن نافع نے زہری سے، اور زہری نے عطاء بن یزید سے اور عطاء بن یزید نے ابوایوب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وتر حق ہے، جو چاہے سات رکعت پڑھے، جو چاہے پانچ پڑھے، جو چاہے تین پڑھے، اور جو چاہے ایک پڑھے ۔
