Rapporté par Eisa bin Hafs bin 'Asim : Mon père m'a dit : "J'étais avec Ibn Umar lors d'un voyage, il a prié le Zuhr et l'Asr en deux unités chacun, puis il est allé s'asseoir sur son tapis. Il a vu des gens faire des prières surérogatoires et a demandé : 'Que font ces gens ?' J'ai répondu : 'Ils font des prières surérogatoires.' Il a dit : 'Si j'avais voulu prier avant ou après la prière obligatoire, je l'aurais accomplie en entier. J'ai accompagné le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) et il ne priait jamais plus de deux unités en voyage, et Abou Bakr faisait de même jusqu'à sa mort, ainsi que 'Umar et 'Uthman, que Allah (SWT) les agrée tous

أَخْبَرَنِي نُوحُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، كُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَى طِنْفِسَةٍ لَهُ فَرَأَى قَوْمًا يُسَبِّحُونَ قَالَ مَا يَصْنَعُ هَؤُلاَءِ قُلْتُ يُسَبِّحُونَ . قَالَ لَوْ كُنْتُ مُصَلِّيًا قَبْلَهَا أَوْ بَعْدَهَا لأَتْمَمْتُهَا صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَكَانَ لاَ يَزِيدُ فِي السَّفَرِ عَلَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ حَتَّى قُبِضَ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ - رضى الله عنهم - كَذَلِكَ .
Traduction anglaise
Eisa bin Hafs bin 'Asim said:"My father told me: 'I was with Ibn Umar on a journey, and he prayed Zuhr and 'Asr with two rak'ahs each, then he went and sat on his carpet. He saw some people offering voluntary prayers and said: What are these people doing? I said: They are offering voluntary prayers. He said: If I had wanted to pray before and after (the obligatory prayer) I would have offered it in full. I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he did not pray more than two rak'ahs when traveling, and Abu Bakr (did likewise) until he died, as did 'Umar and 'Uthman, may Allah (SWT) be pleased with them all
Traduction en ourdou
حفص بن عاصم کہتے ہیں کہ میں ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ ایک سفر میں تھا تو انہوں نے ظہر اور عصر کی نمازیں دو دو رکعت پڑھیں، پھر اپنے خیمے کی طرف لوٹنے لگے، تو لوگوں کو دیکھا کہ وہ نماز پڑھ رہے ہیں، تو انہوں نے پوچھا: یہ لوگ ( اب ) کیا کر رہے ہیں؟ میں نے کہا: یہ لوگ سنت پڑھ رہے ہیں، تو انہوں نے کہا: اگر میں اس سے پہلے یا بعد میں کوئی نماز پڑھنے والا ہوتا تو میں فرض ہی کو پورا کرتا، میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہا، آپ سفر میں دو رکعت سے زیادہ نہیں پڑھتے تھے، ابوبکر کے ساتھ رہا یہاں تک کہ ان کا انتقال ہو گیا، عمر اور عثمان رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ بھی رہا یہ سب لوگ اسی طرح کرتے تھے۔
