Rapporté par Ibn Shihab : Un jour, Omar ibn Abd al-Aziz a retardé la prière. ‘Urwa ibn Zubair est venu lui dire qu’un jour, alors que Mughira ibn Shu‘ba était gouverneur à Koufa, il avait aussi retardé la prière. Abu Mas‘ud al-Ansari était venu lui dire : « Qu’est-ce que cela, ô Mughira ? Sais-tu que c’est Gabriel qui est venu et a dirigé la prière, puis le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prié avec lui, puis Gabriel a prié et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prié avec lui, puis Gabriel a prié et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prié avec lui, puis Gabriel a prié et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prié avec lui, puis Gabriel a prié et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a prié avec lui, puis il a dit : “C’est ainsi que j’ai reçu l’ordre de faire.” » Omar ibn Abd al-Aziz dit : « Ô ‘Urwa, fais attention à ce que tu dis, que Gabriel (paix sur lui) a enseigné au Messager d’Allah ﷺ les horaires de la prière. » ‘Urwa répondit : « C’est ainsi que Bachir ibn Abu Mas‘ud l’a rapporté de son père. »

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَخَّرَ الصَّلاَةَ يَوْمًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلاَةَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا مُغِيرَةُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ " بِهَذَا أُمِرْتُ " . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِعُرْوَةَ انْظُرْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ يَا عُرْوَةُ أَوَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ هُوَ أَقَامَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقْتَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn Shihab reported:Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz one day deferred the prayer. 'Urwa b. Zubair came to him and informed him that one day as Mughira b. Shu'ba was in Kufa (as its governor), he deferred the prayer, Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari came to him and said: What is this, O Mughira? Did you know that it was Gabriel who came and said prayer and (then) the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said the prayer (along with him), then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed, then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed, then (Gabriel) prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed (along with him). then Gabriel prayed and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) also prayed (along with him) and then said: This is how I have been ordered to do. 'Umar (b. 'Abd al-'Aziz) said. O 'Urwa be mindful of what you are saying that Gabriel (peace be upon him) taught the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) the times of prayer. Upon this 'Urwa said: This is how Bashir b. Abu Mas'ud narrated on the authority of his father

امام مالک نے ابن شہاب زہری سے روایت کی کہ ایک دن عمر بن عبدالعزیز نے نماز میں تاخیر کر دی تو عروہ بن زبیر ان کے پاس آئے اور انھیں بتایا کہ مغیر ہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک دن نماز دیر سے پڑھی اس وقت وہ کوفہ میں تھے ابو مسعود انصاری رحمۃ اللہ علیہ ان کے پاس آئے اور کہا : مغیرہ !یہ کیا ہے ؟ کیا آپ کو پتہ نہیں کہ جبریل علیہ السلام اترے تھے ، انھوں نے نماز پڑھائی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ( ان کے ساتھ ) نماز پڑھی ، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے نماز پڑھی ، پھر انوں نے نماز پڑھی اور رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ( ان کے ساتھ ) نماز پڑھی ، پھر انھوں نے نماز پڑھی تو رسو ل اللہ ﷺ نے ( ان کے ساتھ ) نماز پڑھی ، پھر ( جبرئیل نے ) کہا : مجھے اس کا حکم دیا گیا ہے ۔ تو عمر نے عروہ سے کہا : عروہ ! دیکھ لو ، کیا کہہ رہے ہو ؟ کیا جبرئیل نے خود ( آکر ) رسول ) اللہ ﷺ کے لیے ( ہر ) نماز کا وقت متعین کیا تھا ؟ تو عروہ نے کہا بشر بن ابی مسعود اپنے والد سے ایسے ہی بیان کرتے تھے ۔
