كتاب النكاح
Rapporté par `Aqil bin Abu Talib : Il a épousé une femme des Banu Jusham, et on lui a dit : “Puissiez-vous vivre en harmonie et avoir beaucoup de fils.” Il a répondu : “Ne dites pas cela, dites plutôt ce que le Messager d’Allah a dit : ‘Allahumma barik lahum wa barik `alaihim (Ô Allah, bénis-les et accorde-leur Tes bénédictions).’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ بَنِي جُشَمٍ فَقَالُوا بِالرِّفَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ فَقَالَ لاَ تَقُولُوا هَكَذَا وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from `Aqil bin Abu Talib:that he married a woman from Banu Jusham, and they said: “May you live in harmony and have many sons.” He said: “Do not say that, rather say what the Messenger of Allah said: 'Allahumma barik lahum wa barik `alaihim (O Allah, bless them and bestow blessings upon them).' ”
Traduction en ourdou
عقیل بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے قبیلہ بنی جشم کی ایک عورت سے شادی کی، تو لوگوں نے ( جاہلیت کے دستور کے مطابق ) یوں کہا:«بالرفاء والبنين» میاں بیوی میں اتفاق رہے اور لڑکے پیدا ہوں تو آپ نے کہا: اس طرح مت کہو، بلکہ وہ کہو، جو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:«اللهم بارك لهم وبارك عليهم» اے اللہ! ان کو برکت دے اور اس برکت کو قائم و دائم رکھ ۔
