Rapporté par Mutarrif bin ‘Abdullah bin Shikhkhir : J’ai entendu ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As dire : « La dernière chose que le Prophète (ﷺ) m’a recommandée quand il m’a nommé gouverneur de Ta’if, c’est : “Ô ‘Uthman ! Sois indulgent dans la prière et adapte-toi à la personne la plus faible du groupe, car il y a parmi eux des personnes âgées, des jeunes, des malades, ceux qui habitent loin de la mosquée et ceux qui ont des besoins urgents.” »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، يَقُولُ كَانَ آخِرَ مَا عَهِدَ إِلَىَّ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حِينَ أَمَّرَنِي عَلَى الطَّائِفِ قَالَ لِي " يَا عُثْمَانُ تَجَاوَزْ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَاقْدِرِ النَّاسَ بِأَضْعَفِهِمْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالصَّغِيرَ وَالسَّقِيمَ وَالْبَعِيدَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Mutarrif bin ‘Abdullah bin Shikhkhir said:“I heard ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As say: “The last thing that the Prophet (ﷺ) enjoined on me when he appointed me governor of Ta’if was that he said: “O ‘Uthman! Be tolerable in prayer and estimate the people based upon the weakest among them, for among them are the elderly, the young, the sick, those who live far from the mosque, and those who have pressing needs.”
Traduction en ourdou
مطرف بن عبداللہ بن شخیر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عثمان بن ابی العاص رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا کہ جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ کو طائف کا امیر بنایا، تو آپ نے میرے لیے آخری نصیحت یہ فرمائی: عثمان! نماز ہلکی پڑھنا، اور لوگوں ( عام نمازیوں ) کو اس شخص کے برابر سمجھنا جو ان میں سب سے زیادہ کمزور ہو، اس لیے کہ لوگوں میں بوڑھے، بچے، بیمار، دور سے آئے ہوئے اور ضرورت مند سبھی قسم کے لوگ ہوتے ہیں ۔
