Rapporté par ‘Aishah رضي الله عنها : Je n’ai jamais vu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) accomplir la prière de la nuit autrement qu’en étant debout, jusqu’à ce qu’il devienne âgé. Ensuite, il a commencé à prier assis, et quand il ne lui restait plus que trente ou quarante versets à réciter, il se levait, les récitait debout, puis se prosternait

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَرْوَانَ الْعُثْمَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُصَلِّي فِي شَىْءٍ مِنْ صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ إِلاَّ قَائِمًا حَتَّى دَخَلَ فِي السِّنِّ فَجَعَلَ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا حَتَّى إِذَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ قِرَاءَتِهِ أَرْبَعُونَ آيَةً أَوْ ثَلاَثُونَ آيَةً قَامَ فَقَرَأَهَا وَسَجَدَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Aishah said:“I did not see the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) offer any of the night prayers in any way other than standing, until he became old. Then he started to pray sitting down until, when there were thirty or forty Verses left of his recitation, he would stand up and recite them, and prostrate.”
Traduction en ourdou
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ہمیشہ رات کی نماز کھڑے ہو کر پڑھتے ہوئے دیکھا، یہاں تک کہ آپ بوڑھے ہو گئے تو بیٹھ کر پڑھنے لگے، جب آپ کی قراءت سے چالیس یا تیس آیتیں باقی رہ جاتیں تو کھڑے ہو کر ان کو پڑھتے ( پھر رکوع ) اور سجدے کرتے۔
