Rapporté par Jabir bin ‘Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « La nourriture d’une personne suffit pour deux, celle de deux suffit pour quatre, et celle de quatre suffit pour huit. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زِيَادٍ الأَسَدِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الاِثْنَيْنِ وَطَعَامُ الاِثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الأَرْبَعَةَ وَطَعَامُ الأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“The food of one person is sufficient for two, the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food for four is sufficient for eight.”
Traduction en ourdou
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ایک شخص کا کھانا دو کے لیے کافی ہوتا ہے اور دو کا کھانا چار کے لیے کافی ہوتا ہے، اور چار کا کھانا آٹھ افراد کے لیے کافی ہوتا ہے ۱؎۔
