كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Mu’awiyah bin Jahimah As-Sulaimi : J’ai rencontré le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et j’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je veux partir au Jihad avec toi, cherchant ainsi la Face d’Allah et l’Au-delà. » Il a dit : « Malheur à toi ! Ta mère est-elle encore en vie ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a dit : « Retourne auprès d’elle et honore-la. » Je me suis approché de lui d’un autre côté et j’ai répété : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je veux partir au Jihad avec toi, cherchant ainsi la Face d’Allah et l’Au-delà. » Il a dit : « Malheur à toi ! Ta mère est-elle encore en vie ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a dit : « Retourne auprès d’elle et honore-la. » Je me suis avancé devant lui et j’ai encore dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, je veux partir au Jihad avec toi, cherchant ainsi la Face d’Allah et l’Au-delà. » Il a dit : « Malheur à toi ! Ta mère est-elle encore en vie ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a dit : « Retourne auprès d’elle et sers-la, car c’est là que se trouve le Paradis. » Une autre chaîne rapporte un hadith similaire. Ibn Majah a dit : Il s’agit de Jahimah bin 'Abbas bin Mirdas As-Sulaimi, qui a critiqué le Prophète ﷺ le jour de Hunain

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يُوسُفَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الرَّقِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ جَاهِمَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَرَدْتُ الْجِهَادَ مَعَكَ أَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَالدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ . قَالَ " وَيْحَكَ أَحَيَّةٌ أُمُّكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " ارْجِعْ فَبَرَّهَا " . ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ مِنَ الْجَانِبِ الآخَرِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَرَدْتُ الْجِهَادَ مَعَكَ أَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَالدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ . قَالَ " وَيْحَكَ أَحَيَّةٌ أُمُّكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " فَارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا فَبَرَّهَا " . ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ مِنْ أَمَامِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَرَدْتُ الْجِهَادَ مَعَكَ أَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ وَالدَّارَ الآخِرَةَ . قَالَ " وَيْحَكَ أَحَيَّةٌ أُمُّكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " وَيْحَكَ الْزَمْ رِجْلَهَا فَثَمَّ الْجَنَّةُ " . حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَمَّالُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، طَلْحَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ جَاهِمَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ، أَنَّ جَاهِمَةَ، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَاجَهْ هَذَا جَاهِمَةُ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ مِرْدَاسٍ السُّلَمِيُّ الَّذِي عَاتَبَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Mu’awiyah bin Jahimah As-Sulaimi said:“I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I want to go for Jihad with you, seeking thereby the Face of Allah and the Hereafter.’ He said: ‘Woe to you! Is your mother still alive?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Go back and honor her.’ Then I approached him from the other side and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I want to go for Jihad with you, seeking thereby the Face of Allah and the Hereafter.’ He said: ‘Woe to you! Is your mother still alive?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Go back and honour her.’ Then I approached him from in front and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I want to go for Jihad with you, seeking thereby the Face of Allah and the Hereafter.’ He said: ‘Woe to you! Is your mother still alive?’ I said: ‘Yes.’ He said: ‘Go back and serve her, for there is Paradise.’” Another chain reports a similar hadith. Ibn Majah said: This is Jahimah bin 'Abbas bin Mirdas As-Sulaimi who criticized the Prophet ﷺ the Day of Hunain

معاویہ بن جاہمہ سلمی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس حاضر ہو کر عرض کیا: میں اللہ کی رضا اور دار آخرت کی بھلائی کے لیے آپ کے ساتھ جہاد کرنا چاہتا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: افسوس، کیا تمہاری ماں زندہ ہے؟ میں نے کہا: ہاں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: واپس جاؤ، اور اپنی ماں کی خدمت کرو پھر میں دوسری جانب سے آیا، اور میں نے عرض کیا: میں اللہ کی رضا جوئی اور دار آخرت کی خاطر آپ کے ساتھ جہاد کا ارادہ رکھتا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا تیری ماں زندہ ہے ؟ میں نے پھر کہا: ہاں! اللہ کے رسول! آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس کے پاس واپس چلے جاؤ اور اس کی خدمت کرو ، پھر میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے سے آیا اور آپ سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اللہ کی رضا اور دار آخرت کے لیے آپ کے ساتھ جہاد کا ارادہ کیا ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: افسوس، کیا تمہاری ماں زندہ ہے؟ میں نے جواب دیا: ہاں! اللہ کے رسول! آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: افسوس! اس کے پیر کے پاس رہو، وہیں جنت ہے ۔
