Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Mas’ud : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Le moulin de l’islam tournera jusqu’à l’an trente-cinq, ou trente-six, ou trente-sept ; puis, s’ils périssent, ils auront suivi la voie de ceux qui ont péri avant eux, mais si leur religion est maintenue, elle le sera pendant soixante-dix ans. » J’ai demandé : « Cela veut-il dire soixante-dix ans à venir ou soixante-dix ans déjà passés ? » Il a répondu : « Cela veut dire (soixante-dix ans) déjà passés. » Abu Dawud a dit : Ceux qui ont noté Khirash, le nom d’un rapporteur, se sont trompés. (Le nom correct est Hirash)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَنْبَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " تَدُورُ رَحَى الإِسْلاَمِ لِخَمْسٍ وَثَلاَثِينَ أَوْ سِتٍّ وَثَلاَثِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَثَلاَثِينَ فَإِنْ يَهْلِكُوا فَسَبِيلُ مَنْ هَلَكَ وَإِنْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ دِينُهُمْ يَقُمْ لَهُمْ سَبْعِينَ عَامًا " . قَالَ قُلْتُ أَمِمَّا بَقِيَ أَوْ مِمَّا مَضَى قَالَ " مِمَّا مَضَى " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ مَنْ قَالَ خِرَاشٍ فَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The mill of Islam will go round till the year thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven; then if they perish, they will have followed the path of those who perished before them, but if their religion is maintained, it will be maintained for seventy years. I asked: Does it mean seventy years which remain or seventy years which are gone by? He replied: It means (seventy years) that are gone by. Abu Dawud said: Those who recorded Khirash, the name of a narrator, are wrong. (The correct name is Hirash)

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسلام کی چکی پینتیس یا چھتیس یا سینتیس سال تک گردش میں رہے گی، پھر اگر وہ ہلاک ہوئے تو ان کی راہ وہی ہو گی جو ان لوگوں کی راہ رہی جو ہلاک ہوئے اور اگر ان کا دین قائم رہا تو ستر سال تک قائم رہے گا میں نے عرض کیا: کیا اس زمانہ سے جو باقی ہے یا اس سے جو گزر گیا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس زمانہ سے جو گزر گیا ۔
