La tradition mentionnée ci-dessus a aussi été transmise par Hudhayfah à travers une autre chaîne de rapporteurs du Prophète ﷺ. Cette version dit : Il a dit : « Si tu ne trouves pas de calife à cette époque, alors éloigne-toi jusqu’à ta mort, même si tu meurs en t’accrochant à une souche d’arbre. » J’ai demandé : « Et après ? » Il a répondu : « Si un homme veut que sa jument mette bas, elle ne le fera pas jusqu’à ce que l’Heure arrive. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ بَدْرٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ سُبَيْعِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَلِيفَةً فَاهْرَبْ حَتَّى تَمُوتَ فَإِنْ تَمُتْ وَأَنْتَ عَاضٌّ " . وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَمَا يَكُونُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ " لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلاً نَتَجَ فَرَسًا لَمْ تُنْتَجْ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ " .
Traduction anglaise
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Hudhaifah through a different chain of narrators from the Prophet (ﷺ). This version says:He said: If you do not find a caliph in those days, then flee away until you die, even of you die holding on (to a stump of a tree). I asked: What will come next ? He replied: If a man wants the mare to bring forth a foal, it will not deliver in till the Last Hour comes
Traduction en ourdou
اس سند سے بھی حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے یہی حدیث مرفوعاً مروی ہے اس میں ہے کہ ان دنوں میں اگر مسلمانوں کا کوئی خلیفہ ( حاکم ) تمہیں نہ ملے تو بھاگ کر ( جنگل میں ) چلے جاؤ یہاں تک کہ وہیں مر جاؤ، اگر تم درخت کی جڑ چبا چبا کر مر جاؤ ( تو بہتر ہے ایسے بے دینوں میں رہنے سے ) اس روایت کے آخر میں یہ ہے کہ میں نے کہا: پھر اس کے بعد کیا ہو گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر کسی کی گھوڑی بچہ جننا چاہتی ہو تو وہ نہ جن سکے گی یہاں تک کہ قیامت آ جائے گی ۱؎ ۔
