Rapporté par Al-Nu‘man ibn Bashir : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Ce qui est licite est clair et ce qui est illicite est clair, mais entre les deux il y a des choses douteuses. Je vous donne un exemple : Allah a un enclos, et l’enclos d’Allah ce sont les choses qu’Il a rendues interdites. Celui qui fait paître (ses animaux) près de l’enclos risque d’y entrer. Celui qui tombe dans les choses douteuses finira par oser aller plus loin. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ، - وَلاَ أَسْمَعُ أَحَدًا بَعْدَهُ يَقُولُ - سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ الْحَلاَلَ بَيِّنٌ وَإِنَّ الْحَرَامَ بَيِّنٌ وَبَيْنَهُمَا أُمُورٌ مُشْتَبِهَاتٌ " . وَأَحْيَانًا يَقُولُ " مُشْتَبِهَةٌ " . " وَسَأَضْرِبُ لَكُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ مَثَلاً إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَمَى حِمًى وَإِنَّ حِمَى اللَّهِ مَا حَرَّمَ وَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يَرْعَ حَوْلَ الْحِمَى يُوشِكْ أَنْ يُخَالِطَهُ وَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يُخَالِطِ الرِّيبَةَ يُوشِكْ أَنْ يَجْسُرَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Al-Nu'man b. Bashir:I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things. I give you an example for this. Allah has a preserve, and Allah's preserve is the things He has declared unlawful. He who pastures (his animals) round the preserve will soon fall into it. He who falls into doubtful things will soon be courageous

نعمان بن بشیر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: حلال واضح ہے، اور حرام واضح ہے، اور ان دونوں کے درمیان کچھ مشتبہ امور ہیں ( جن کی حلت و حرمت میں شک ہے ) اور کبھی یہ کہا کہ ان کے درمیان مشتبہ چیز ہے اور میں تمہیں یہ بات ایک مثال سے سمجھاتا ہوں، اللہ نے ( اپنے لیے ) محفوظ جگہ ( چراگاہ ) بنائی ہے، اور اللہ کی محفوظ جگہ اس کے محارم ہیں ( یعنی ایسے امور جنہیں اللہ نے حرام قرار دیا ہے ) اور جو شخص محفوظ چراگاہ کے گرد اپنے جانور چرائے گا، تو عین ممکن ہے کہ اس کے اندر داخل ہو جائے اور جو شخص مشتبہ چیزوں کے قریب جائے گا تو عین ممکن ہے کہ اسے حلال کر بیٹھنے کی جسارت کر ڈالے ۔
