Hadith 420 — Livre 2: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)
كتاب الصلاة
Rapporté par Abd Allah b. ‘Umar : « Une nuit, nous avons attendu que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ fasse la prière du ‘Isha. Il est venu vers nous alors qu’un tiers de la nuit était passé, ou même plus. Nous ne savions pas s’il avait été occupé ou si c’était pour une autre raison. Lorsqu’il est sorti, il a dit : “Attendez-vous cette prière ? Si cela ne devait pas être difficile pour ma communauté, je la ferais toujours à ce moment-là avec eux.” Puis il a demandé au muezzin d’annoncer que la prière était arrivée. »

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَكَثْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِصَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ فَلاَ نَدْرِي أَشَىْءٌ شَغَلَهُ أَمْ غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ حِينَ خَرَجَ " أَتَنْتَظِرُونَ هَذِهِ الصَّلاَةَ لَوْلاَ أَنْ تَثْقُلَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَصَلَّيْتُ بِهِمْ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ " . ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ .
Traduction anglaise
Abd Allah b. 'Umar said:We remained one night waiting for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to offer the Isha prayer. He came out to us when one-third of the night has passed or even after it. We did not know whether anything kept him occupied or there was some other matter. When he came out, he said: Are you waiting for this prayer ? Were it not that it would impose a burden on my people, I would normally pray with them at this time. He then gave orders to the mu'adhdhin who declared that the time of the prayer had come
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ایک رات ہم عشاء کے لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی آمد کا انتظار کرتے رہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس وقت تشریف لائے جب تہائی رات یا اس سے زیادہ گزر گئی، ہم نہیں جانتے کہ کسی چیز نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو مشغول کر رکھا تھا یا کوئی اور بات تھی، جس وقت آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نکل کر آئے تو فرمایا: کیا تم لوگ اس نماز کا انتظار کر رہے ہو؟ اگر میری امت پر گراں نہ گزرتا تو میں انہیں یہ نماز اسی وقت پڑھاتا ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مؤذن کو حکم دیا، اس نے نماز کے لیے تکبیر کہی۔
