كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Hawalah al-Azdi : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a envoyés à pied pour obtenir du butin, mais nous sommes revenus sans rien obtenir. Quand il a vu la tristesse sur nos visages, il s’est levé devant nous et a dit : « Ô Allah, ne les mets pas sous ma responsabilité, car je serais trop faible pour m’occuper d’eux ; ne les laisse pas se gérer eux-mêmes, car ils en seraient incapables ; et ne les mets pas sous la responsabilité d’autres hommes, car ils choisiraient le meilleur pour eux-mêmes. » Il a ensuite posé sa main sur ma tête et a dit : « Ibn Hawalah, lorsque tu verras que le califat s’est établi en Terre Sainte, alors les tremblements de terre, les tristesses et les épreuves graves seront proches, et ce jour-là, l’Heure sera plus proche des gens que cette main n’est proche de ta tête. » Abu Dawud a dit : ‘Abd Allah b. حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْرَةُ، أَنَّ ابْنَ زُغْبٍ الإِيَادِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ : نَزَلَ عَلَىَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَوَالَةَ الأَزْدِيُّ فَقَالَ لِي : بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِنَغْنَمَ عَلَى أَقْدَامِنَا فَرَجَعْنَا فَلَمْ نَغْنَمْ شَيْئًا وَعَرَفَ الْجُهْدَ فِي وُجُوهِنَا فَقَامَ فِينَا فَقَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ لاَ تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَىَّ فَأَضْعُفَ عَنْهُمْ، وَلاَ تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَيَعْجِزُوا عَنْهَا، وَلاَ تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَى النَّاسِ فَيَسْتَأْثِرُوا عَلَيْهِمْ " . ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِي - أَوْ قَالَ : عَلَى هَامَتِي - ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَا ابْنَ حَوَالَةَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الْخِلاَفَةَ قَدْ نَزَلَتْ أَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةِ فَقَدْ دَنَتِ الزَّلاَزِلُ وَالْبَلاَبِلُ وَالأُمُورُ الْعِظَامُ، وَالسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَقْرَبُ مِنَ النَّاسِ مِنْ يَدِي هَذِهِ مِنْ رَأْسِكَ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَوَالَةَ حِمْصِيٌّ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Hawalah al-Azdi: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent us on foot to get spoil, but we returned without getting any. When he saw the signs of distress on our faces, he stood up on our faces and said: O Allah, do not put them under my care, for I would be too weak to care for them; do not put them in care of themselves, for they would be incapable of that, and do not put them in the care of men, for they would choose the best things for themselves. He then placed his hand on my head and said: Ibn Hawalah, when you see the caliphate has settled in the holy land, earthquakes, sorrows and serious matters will have drawn near and on that day the Last Hour will be nearer to mankind than this hand of mine is to your head. ضمرہ کا بیان ہے کہ ابن زغب ایادی نے ان سے بیان کیا کہ عبداللہ بن حوالہ ازدی رضی اللہ عنہ میرے پاس اترے، اور مجھ سے بیان کیا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں بھیجا ہے کہ ہم پیدل چل کر مال غنیمت حاصل کریں، تو ہم واپس لوٹے اور ہمیں کچھ بھی مال غنیمت نہ ملا، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمارے چہروں پر پریشانی کے آثار دیکھے تو ہمارے درمیان کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا: اللہ! انہیں میرے سپرد نہ فرما کہ میں ان کی خبرگیری سے عاجز رہ جاؤں، اور انہیں ان کی ذات کے حوالہ ( بھی ) نہ کر کہ وہ اپنی خبرگیری خود کرنے سے عاجز آ جائیں، اور ان کو دوسروں کے حوالہ نہ کر کہ وہ خود کو ان پر ترجیح دیں ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنا ہاتھ میرے سر پر یا میری گدی پر رکھا اور فرمایا: اے ابن حوالہ! جب تم دیکھو کہ خلافت شام میں اتر چکی ہے، تو سمجھ لو کہ زلزلے، مصیبتیں اور بڑے بڑے واقعات ( کے ظہور کا وقت ) قریب آ گیا ہے، اور قیامت اس وقت لوگوں سے اتنی قریب ہو گی جتنا کہ میرا یہ ہاتھ تمہارے سر سے قریب ہے ۔
