Hadith 2446 — Livre 14: Fasting (Kitab Al-Siyam)
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Al-Hakam ibn al-A’raj : Je suis allé voir Ibn ‘Abbas qui était appuyé contre son manteau dans la Mosquée Sacrée (al-Masjid al-Haram). Je lui ai demandé au sujet du jeûne du jour de ‘Ashura. Il a dit : « Quand tu vois le croissant de Mouharram, compte les jours. Quand arrive le 9e jour de Mouharram, jeûne dès le matin. » J’ai demandé : « Est-ce que Muhammad ﷺ jeûnait ainsi ? » Il a répondu : « C’est ainsi que Muhammad ﷺ jeûnait. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ - عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ غَلاَبٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَاجِبُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، - جَمِيعًا الْمَعْنَى - عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ الأَعْرَجِ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَهُوَ مُتَوَسِّدٌ رِدَاءَهُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ هِلاَلَ الْمُحَرَّمِ فَاعْدُدْ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّاسِعِ فَأَصْبِحْ صَائِمًا . فَقُلْتُ كَذَا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصُومُ فَقَالَ كَذَلِكَ كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصُومُ .
Traduction anglaise
Al-Hakam b. al-A'raj said:I came to Ibn 'Abbas who was leaning against his sheet of cloth in the Sacred Mosque (al-Masjid al-Haram). I asked him about fasting on the day of 'Ashurah. He said: When you sight the moon of al-Muharram, count (the days). When the 9th of Muharram comes, fast from the morning. I said: Would Muhammad (ﷺ) observe this fast ? He replied: Thus Muhammad (ﷺ) used to fast
Traduction en ourdou
حکم بن الاعرج کہتے ہیں کہ میں ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اس وقت وہ مسجد الحرام میں اپنی چادر کا تکیہ لگائے ہوئے تھے، میں نے عاشوراء کے روزے سے متعلق ان سے دریافت کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: جب تم محرم کا چاند دیکھو تو گنتے رہو اور نویں تاریخ آنے پر روزہ رکھو، میں نے پوچھا: محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اسی طرح روزہ رکھتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: ( ہاں ) محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اسی طرح روزہ رکھتے تھے ۱؎۔
