كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Aisha, la mère des croyants رضي الله عنها : « Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ comptait les jours de Sha’ban comme il ne comptait aucun autre mois ; puis il jeûnait lorsqu’il voyait le croissant de Ramadan. Mais si le ciel était couvert, il comptait trente jours avant de commencer le jeûne. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - تَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَحَفَّظُ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ مَا لاَ يَتَحَفَّظُ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ لِرُؤْيَةِ رَمَضَانَ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْهِ عَدَّ ثَلاَثِينَ يَوْمًا ثُمَّ صَامَ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to count the days in Sha'ban in a manner he did not count any other month; then he fasted when he sighted the new moon of Ramadan; but if the weather was cloudy he counted thirty days and then fasted

عبداللہ بن ابی قیس کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو کہتے سنا کہ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ماہ شعبان کی تاریخوں کا جتنا خیال رکھتے کسی اور مہینے کی تاریخوں کا اتنا خیال نہ فرماتے، پھر رمضان کا چاند دیکھ کر روزے رکھتے، اگر وہ آپ پر مشتبہ ہو جاتا تو تیس دن پورے کرتے، پھر روزے رکھتے۔
