Rapporté par Abu Shaikh Al-Huna'i : J'ai entendu Mu'awiyah dire à un groupe de Mouhajiroun et d'Ansar qui étaient autour de lui : « Savez-vous que le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a interdit de porter de la soie ? » Ils ont répondu : « Par Allah, oui. » Il a dit : « Et (il a interdit) de porter de l'or, sauf s'il est brisé (en petits morceaux) ? » Ils ont répondu : « Oui. » 'Ali bin Ghurab l'a contredit ; il l'a rapporté de Bahais, d'Abu Shaikh, d'Ibn 'Umar

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَيْهَسُ بْنُ فَهْدَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَيْخٍ الْهُنَائِيُّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَحَوْلَهُ، نَاسٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الْحَرِيرِ فَقَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ . قَالَ وَنَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلاَّ مُقَطَّعًا قَالُوا نَعَمْ . خَالَفَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ غُرَابٍ رَوَاهُ عَنْ بَيْهَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .

Abu Shaikh Al-Huna'i said:"I heard Mu'awiyah say to a group of Muhajirun and Ansar who were around him: 'Do you know that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade wearing silk?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.' He said 'And (he forbade) wearing gold unless it was broken (into smaller pieces)?' They said: 'Yes.'" 'Ali bin Ghurab contradicted him; he reported it from Bahais, from Abu Shaikh, from Ibn 'Umar
