Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar et Ibn 'Abbas, qui attribuent ce hadith au Prophète : "Il n'est pas permis à un homme de faire un cadeau puis de le reprendre, sauf à un père qui reprend ce qu'il a donné à son fils. Celui qui donne un cadeau puis le reprend ressemble à un chien qui mange jusqu'à être rassasié, puis vomit et retourne à son vomi

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي طَاوُسٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَابْنِ، عَبَّاسٍ يَرْفَعَانِ الْحَدِيثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَحِلُّ لِرَجُلٍ يُعْطِي عَطِيَّةً ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فِيهَا إِلاَّ الْوَالِدَ فِيمَا يُعْطِي وَلَدَهُ وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْطِي عَطِيَّةً ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فِيهَا كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ أَكَلَ حَتَّى إِذَا شَبِعَ قَاءَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbas, who attributed the Hadith to the Prophet:"It is not permissible for a man to give a gift and then take it back except a father taking back what he gave to his son. The likeness of the one who gives a gift then takes it back is that of the dog which eats until it is full, then it vomits, and goes back to its vomit

عبداللہ بن عباس اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہم روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کسی شخص کے لیے حلال نہیں ہے کہ کسی کو کوئی تحفہ دے پھر اسے واپس لے ۱؎ سوائے باپ کے جسے وہ اپنے بیٹے کو دیتا ہے، اس شخص کی مثال جو کوئی عطیہ دیے کر اسے واپس لے لے اس کتے جیسی ہے جس نے ( خوب ) کھا لیا ہو یہاں تک کہ جب وہ آسودہ ہو جائے تو قے کرے پھر اسے چاٹے“
