Rapporté par Muhammad bin Sa'd, d'après son père Sa'd bin Malik : Le Prophète est venu le voir alors qu'il était malade et il a dit : "Je n'ai pas d'enfants à part une fille. Puis-je léguer toute ma richesse ?" Le Prophète a dit : "Non." Il a dit : "La moitié ?" Le Prophète a dit : "Non." Il a dit : "Le tiers ?" Il a dit : "Un tiers, et un tiers c'est beaucoup

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَهُ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي وَلَدٌ إِلاَّ ابْنَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَأُوصِي بِمَالِي كُلِّهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ ". قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِنِصْفِهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ ". قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِثُلُثِهِ قَالَ " الثُّلُثَ وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ ".
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Sa'd, from his father Sa'd bin Malik, that the Prophet came to him when he was sick and he said:"I do not have any children apart from one daughter. Shall I bequeath all my wealth?" The Prophet said: "No." He said: "Shall I bequeath half of it?" The Prophet said: "No." He said: "Shall I bequeath one-third of it?" He said: "One-third, and one-third is much or large
Traduction en ourdou
سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان کے پاس تشریف لائے، اس وقت وہ بیمار تھے، انہوں نے آپ سے عرض کیا: ( اللہ کے رسول! ) میری کوئی اولاد ( نرینہ ) نہیں ہے، صرف ایک بچی ہے۔ میں اپنا سارا مال اللہ کی راہ میں دے دینے کی وصیت کر دیتا ہوں؟ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”نہیں“، انہوں نے کہا: آدھے کی وصیت کر دوں؟ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”نہیں“، انہوں نے کہا: تو میں ایک تہائی مال کی وصیت کرتا ہوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایک تہائی کر دو اور ایک تہائی بھی زیادہ ہے“۔
