Rapporté par Anas : Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ avait une chamelle nommée Al-'Adba' que personne ne pouvait battre. Un jour, un bédouin est venu avec une chamelle de course et l'a battue (dans une course). Les musulmans ont été attristés par cela, et quand il a vu leurs visages, ils ont dit : "Ô Messager d'Allah, Al-'Adba' a été battue." أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَاقَةٌ تُسَمَّى الْعَضْبَاءَ لاَ تُسْبَقُ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ عَلَى قَعُودٍ فَسَبَقَهَا فَشَقَّ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سُبِقَتِ الْعَضْبَاءُ . قَالَ " إِنَّ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ لاَ يَرْتَفِعَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ وَضَعَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Anas said:"The Messenger of Allah had a she-camel called Al-'Adba' which could not be beaten. One day a Bedouin came on a riding-camel and beat her (in a race). The Muslims were upset by that, and when he saw the expressions on their faces they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Al-'Adba' has been beaten.' He said: 'It is a right upon Allah that nothing is raised in this world except He lowers it

انس رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس عضباء نامی ایک اونٹنی تھی وہ ہارتی نہ تھی، اتفاقاً ایک اعرابی ( دیہاتی ) اپنے جوان اونٹ پر آیا اور وہ مقابلے میں عضباء سے بازی لے گیا، یہ بات ( ہار ) مسلمانوں کو بڑی ناگوار گزری۔ جب آپ نے لوگوں کے چہروں کی ناگواری و رنجیدگی دیکھی تو لوگ خود بول پڑے: اللہ کے رسول! عضباء شکست کھا گئی ( اور ہمیں اس کا رنج ہے ) ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”یہ تو اللہ کے حق ( و اختیار ) کی بات ہے کہ جب دنیا میں کوئی چیز بہت بلند ہو جاتی اور بڑھ جاتی ہے تو اللہ اسے پست کر دیتا اور نیچے گرا دیتا ہے“ ( اس لیے کبیدہ خاطر ہونا ٹھیک نہیں ہے ) ۔
