Rapporté par Ibn Tawus, de son père : Abu As-Sahba' est venu voir Ibn 'Abbas et lui a dit : "Ô Ibn 'Abbas ! Ne sais-tu pas que, du temps du Messager d'Allah, d'Abu Bakr et au début du califat de 'Umar, le triple divorce était compté comme un seul divorce ?" Il a dit : "Oui

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ أَبَا الصَّهْبَاءِ، جَاءَ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ الثَّلاَثَ، كَانَتْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلاَفَةِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا تُرَدُّ إِلَى الْوَاحِدَةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn Tawus, from his father, that Abu As-Sahba' came to Ibn 'Abbas and said:"O Ibn 'Abbas! Did you not know that the threefold divorce during the time of the Messenger of Allah and Abu Bakr, and during the early part of 'Umar's Caliphate, used to be counted as one divorce?" He said: "Yes
Traduction en ourdou
طاؤس سے روایت ہے کہ ابو الصہباء نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس آ کر کہا: اے ابن عباس! کیا آپ نہیں جانتے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد مبارک میں، ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے زمانے میں اور عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے شروع عہد خلافت میں تین طلاقیں ( ایک ساتھ ) ایک مانی جاتی تھیں، انہوں نے کہا: جی ہاں ( معلوم ہے، ایسا ہوتا تھا ) ۱؎۔
