Hadith 3162 — Livre 25: The Book of Jihad
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Sahl bin Abi Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif, d’après son père, d’après son grand-père : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Celui qui demande sincèrement à Allah, le Tout-Puissant, le martyre, Allah lui accordera le statut des martyrs même s’il meurt dans son lit. »

أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّ سَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الشَّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Sahl bin Abi Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:"Whoever asks Allah, the mighty and Sublime, sincerely for martyrdom, Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even of he dies in his bed
Traduction en ourdou
سہل بن حنیف رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو شخص سچے دل سے شہادت کی طلب کرے تو وہ چاہے اپنے بستر پر ہی کیوں نہ مرے اللہ تعالیٰ اسے شہیدوں کے مقام پر پہنچا دے گا“ ۱؎۔
