Hadith 2615 — Livre 23: The Book of Zakah
كتاب الزكاة
Rapporté par Zaid bin Aslam, d’après son père : J’ai entendu ‘Umar dire : « J’ai donné un cheval à quelqu’un pour qu’il le monte dans la voie d’Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, mais celui qui l’a gardé l’a négligé. J’ai voulu le racheter à bas prix. J’ai demandé au Messager d’Allah à ce sujet et il a dit : “Ne le rachète pas, même s’il te le vend pour un dirham. Celui qui reprend son aumône est comme un chien qui revient à son vomi.” »

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ حَمَلْتُ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَأَضَاعَهُ الَّذِي كَانَ عِنْدَهُ وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَبْتَاعَهُ مِنْهُ وَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ بَائِعُهُ بِرُخْصٍ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " لاَ تَشْتَرِهِ وَإِنْ أَعْطَاكَهُ بِدِرْهَمٍ فَإِنَّ الْعَائِدَ فِي صَدَقَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Zaid bin Aslam that his father said:"I heard 'Umar say: 'I gave a horse to someone to ride in the cause of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and the one who kept it neglected it. I wanted to buy it back from him, and I thought that he would sell it at a cheap price. I asked the Messenger for Allah about that and he said: Do not buy it, even if he gives it to you for a Dirham. The one who takes back his charity is like the dog that goes back to its own vomit

اسلم کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا کہ میں نے ( ایک آدمی کو ) ایک گھوڑا اللہ کی راہ میں سواری کے لیے دیا تو اسے اس شخص نے برباد کر دیا، تو میں نے سوچا کہ میں اسے خرید لوں، خیال تھا کہ وہ اسے سستا ہی بیچ دے گا، میں نے اس بارے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سوال کیا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”تم اسے مت خریدو گرچہ وہ تمہیں ایک ہی درہم میں دیدے، کیونکہ صدقہ کر کے پھر اسے لینے والا کتے کی طرح ہے جو قے کر کے اسے چاٹتا ہے“۔
