Hadith 2604 — Livre 23: The Book of Zakah
كتاب الزكاة
Rapporté par Ibn As-Sa'idi Al-Maliki : ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab, رضي الله عنه, m’a nommé responsable de la Sadaqah. Quand j’ai fini de la collecter et que je la lui ai remise, il a ordonné qu’on me donne une part. Je lui ai dit : « Je l’ai fait uniquement pour Allah, le Puissant et Majestueux, et ma récompense sera auprès d’Allah. » Il a dit : « Prends ce que je t’ai donné. J’ai fait la même chose à l’époque du Messager d’Allah, et j’ai dit ce que tu viens de dire, mais le Messager d’Allah m’a dit : “Si on te donne quelque chose sans que tu l’aies demandé, alors garde-en une partie et donne l’autre en aumône.” »

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ السَّاعِدِيِّ الْمَالِكِيِّ، قَالَ اسْتَعْمَلَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رضى الله عنه عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغْتُ مِنْهَا فَأَدَّيْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ أَمَرَ لِي بِعُمَالَةٍ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّمَا عَمِلْتُ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأَجْرِي عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ . فَقَالَ خُذْ مَا أَعْطَيْتُكَ فَإِنِّي قَدْ عَمِلْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مِثْلَ قَوْلِكَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا أُعْطِيتَ شَيْئًا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ تَسْأَلَ فَكُلْ وَتَصَدَّقْ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn As-Sa'idi Al-Maliki said:"Umar bin Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, appointed me in charge of the Sadaqah. When I finished collecting it and handed it over to him, he ordered that I be given some payment. I said to him: 'I only did for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and my reward will be with Allah, the Mighty and Sublime.' He said: 'Take what I have given you: I did the same take during the time of the Messenger of Allah, and I said what you have said, but the Messenger of Allah said to me: "If you are given something without asking for it, then keep (some) and give (some) in charity

عبداللہ بن ساعدی مالکی کہتے ہیں کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے صدقہ پر عامل بنایا، جب میں اس سے فارغ ہوا اور اسے ان کے حوالے کر دیا، تو انہوں نے اس کام کی مجھے اجرت دینے کا حکم دیا، میں نے ان سے عرض کیا کہ میں نے یہ کام صرف اللہ عزوجل کے لیے کیا ہے، اور میرا اجر اللہ ہی کے ذمہ ہے، تو انہوں نے کہا: ـ میں تمہیں جو دیتا ہوں وہ لے لو، کیونکہ میں نے بھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں ایک کام کیا تھا، اور میں نے بھی آپ سے ویسے ہی کہا تھا جو تم نے کہا ہے، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ”جب تمہیں کوئی چیز بغیر مانگے ملے تو ( اسے ) کھاؤ، اور ( اس میں سے ) صدقہ کرو“۔
