كتاب الزكاة
Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Le Messager d’Allah a dit : “Si l’un de vous porte un fagot de bois sur son dos et le vend, cela vaut mieux que de demander à quelqu’un qui peut ou non lui donner quelque chose.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا عُبَيْدٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَزْهَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لأَنْ يَحْتَزِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ حُزْمَةَ حَطَبٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَبِيعَهَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ رَجُلاً فَيُعْطِيَهُ أَوْ يَمْنَعَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Hurairah said:"The Messenger of Allah said: 'if one of you were to carry a bundle of firewood on his back and sell it, that would be better than asking a man who may or may not give him something
Traduction en ourdou
ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر تم میں سے کوئی لکڑیوں کا ایک گٹھا اپنی پیٹھ پر لاد کر لائے، پھر اسے بیچے تو یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ کسی آدمی سے مانگے، تو اسے دے یا نہ دے“۔
