كتاب الزكاة
Rapporté par 'Abdullah bin Hubshi Al-Khath'ami : Le Prophète a été interrogé : "Quelle action est la meilleure ?" Il a répondu : "La foi sans aucun doute, le jihad sans tricher sur le butin, et un pèlerinage accepté." On a demandé : "Quelle prière est la meilleure ?" Il a dit : "Celle où l’on reste longtemps debout." On a demandé : "Quelle aumône est la meilleure ?" Il a dit : "Celle donnée la nuit par le pauvre." On a demandé : "Quelle émigration est la meilleure ?" Il a dit : "Celle de celui qui évite ce qu’Allah a interdit." On a demandé : "Celui qui lutte contre les idolâtres avec sa vie et ses biens." On a demandé : "Quelle mort est la meilleure ?" Il a dit : "Celle de celui qui verse son sang alors que les sabots de son cheval sont coupés par les épées

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ الأَزْدِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حُبْشِيٍّ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سُئِلَ أَىُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " إِيمَانٌ لاَ شَكَّ فِيهِ وَجِهَادٌ لاَ غُلُولَ فِيهِ وَحَجَّةٌ مَبْرُورَةٌ " . قِيلَ فَأَىُّ الصَّلاَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ " . قِيلَ فَأَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " جَهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ " . قِيلَ فَأَىُّ الْهِجْرَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " . قِيلَ فَأَىُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " مَنْ جَاهَدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ " . قِيلَ فَأَىُّ الْقَتْلِ أَشْرَفُ قَالَ " مَنْ أُهْرِيقَ دَمُهُ وَعُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from 'Abudullah bin Hubshi Al-Khath 'ami that the Prophet was asked:"Which deed is best?" He said: "Faith in which there is no doubt, Jihad in which there is no stealing of the spoils of war, and Hjijatun Mabrurah."[1] It was said: "Which prayer is best? He said:"That in which there is ling Qunut (standing)." It was said: "Which charity is best?" He said: "The poor's night." It was said: "Which Hijrah (emigration) is best?" He said: "One who shuns (Hahara) that which Allah has forbidden." It was said: "One who strives against the idolaters with his life and his wealth. "It was said: "Which death is best?" He said: "One who sheds his blood while his horse's feet are cut with swords

عبداللہ بن حبشی خثعمی رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا: کون سے کام افضل ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایسا ایمان جس میں شبہ نہ ہو، جہاد جس میں خیانت نہ ہو، اور حج مبرور“، پوچھا گیا: کون سی نماز افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”لمبے قیام والی نماز“، پوچھا گیا: کون سا صدقہ افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”وہ صدقہ جو کم مال والا اپنی محنت کی کمائی سے دے“، پوچھا گیا: کون سی ہجرت افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایسی ہجرت جو اللہ کی حرام کی ہوئی چیزوں کو چھوڑ دے“، پوچھا گیا: کون سا جہاد افضل ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس شخص کا جہاد جو مشرکین سے اپنی جان و مال کے ساتھ جہاد کرے“، پوچھا گیا: کون سا قتل افضل ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جس میں آدمی کا خون بہا دیا گیا ہو، اور اس کا گھوڑا ہلاک کر دیا گیا ہو“۔
