Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Nous sommes une communauté illettrée, nous n’utilisons pas les calculs astronomiques. Le mois est comme ceci, comme ceci et comme ceci », il l’a montré trois fois, indiquant vingt-neuf jours

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّا أُمَّةٌ أُمِّيَّةٌ لاَ نَكْتُبُ وَلاَ نَحْسِبُ الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا " . ثَلاَثًا حَتَّى ذَكَرَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet said:"We are an unlettered Ummah, we do not use astronomical counting or computation. The month is like this, and this, and this," he did three times, showing it as twenty-nine
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ہم «اُمّی» لوگ ہیں، نہ ہم لکھتے پڑھتے ہیں اور نہ حساب کتاب کرتے ہیں، مہینہ اس طرح ہے، اس طرح ہے، اور اس طرح ہے“، ( ایسا تین بار کیا ) یہاں تک کہ انتیس دن کا ذکر کیا۔
