Rapporté par Ribi : Un des Compagnons du Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “N’anticipez pas le mois avant d’avoir complété le nombre de jours, ou d’avoir vu le croissant. Ensuite, jeûnez, et n’arrêtez pas de jeûner avant d’avoir vu le croissant, ou d’avoir complété trente jours.” » (Sahih) Al-Hajjaj bin Artah l’a rapporté en Mursal

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ، عَنْ بَعْضِ، أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَقَدَّمُوا الشَّهْرَ حَتَّى تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ أَوْ تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ ثُمَّ صُومُوا وَلاَ تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ أَوْ تُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلاَثِينَ " . أَرْسَلَهُ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ribi that one of the Companions of the Prophet said:"The Messenger of Allah said: 'D not anticipate the month until you complete the number, or you see the crescent. ایک صحابی رسول رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم رمضان کے مہینہ پر سبقت نہ کرو یہاں تک کہ شعبان کی گنتی پوری کر لو، یا رمضان کا چاند دیکھ لو پھر روزہ رکھو، اور نہ روزہ بند کرو یہاں تک کہ تم عید الفطر کا چاند دیکھ لو، یا رمضان کی تیس ( دن ) کی گنتی پوری کر لو“۔ حجاج بن ارطاۃ نے اسے مرسلاً روایت کیا ہے۔
