Hadith 2121 — Livre 22: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a parlé du Ramadan et a dit : « Ne jeûnez pas avant de voir le croissant, et n’arrêtez pas de jeûner avant de le voir, et si c’est caché (ciel trop nuageux), alors calculez. »

Texte arabe original
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - عَنِ ابْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَكَرَ رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ " لاَ تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوُا الْهِلاَلَ وَلاَ تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah mentioned Ramadan and said:"Do not fast until you see the crescent, and do not stop fasting until you see it, and if it is obscured from you (too cloudy), then work it out
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے رمضان کا ذکر کیا تو فرمایا: ”تم روزہ نہ رکھو یہاں تک کہ چاند دیکھ لو، اور روزہ رکھنا بند کرو یہاں تک کہ ( چاند ) دیکھ لو، ( اور ) اگر فضا ابر آلود ہو تو اس کا حساب لگا لو“۔
