Hadith 2113 — Livre 22: The Book of Fasting
كتاب الصيام
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Un bédouin est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « J’ai vu le croissant cette nuit. » Il a dit : « Témoignes-tu qu’il n’y a pas d’autre divinité qu’Allah et que Muhammad est le Messager ? » Il a répondu : « Oui. » Il a dit : « Ô Bilal, annonce aux gens qu’ils doivent jeûner demain. »

أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ أَبْصَرْتُ الْهِلاَلَ اللَّيْلَةَ . قَالَ " أَتَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " يَا بِلاَلُ أَذِّنْ فِي النَّاسِ فَلْيَصُومُوا غَدًا " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:"A Bedouin come to the Prophet and said; 'I have sighted the crescent tonight.' He said: 'Do you bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Messenger?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'O Bilal, announce to the people that they should fast tomorrow
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ایک اعرابی ( دیہاتی ) نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر کہا: میں نے آج رات چاند دیکھا ہے، آپ نے پوچھا: ”کیا تم شہادت دیتے ہو کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، اور محمد اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں؟“ اس نے کہا: ہاں، تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”بلال! لوگوں میں اعلان کر دو کہ کل سے روزے رکھیں“۔
