كتاب قيام الليل والنوافل
Rapporté par Qais bin Talq : Mon père, Talq bin ‘Ali, m’a rendu visite un jour pendant le Ramadan et il est resté avec nous jusqu’au soir. Il a dirigé la prière nocturne (Qiyam) avec nous cette nuit-là et a prié le witr avec nous. Ensuite, il est allé à la mosquée et a dirigé la prière pour ses compagnons jusqu’à ce qu’il ne reste que le witr. Puis il a demandé à un homme d’avancer et lui a dit : « Dirige-les pour le witr, car j’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : Il ne doit pas y avoir deux witrs dans une même nuit. »

أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ مُلاَزِمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ، قَالَ زَارَنَا أَبِي طَلْقُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فِي يَوْمٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَأَمْسَى بِنَا وَقَامَ بِنَا تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَأَوْتَرَ بِنَا ثُمَّ انْحَدَرَ إِلَى مَسْجِدٍ فَصَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ حَتَّى بَقِيَ الْوِتْرُ ثُمَّ قَدَّمَ رَجُلاً فَقَالَ لَهُ أَوْتِرْ بِهِمْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " لاَ وِتْرَانِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Qais bin Talq said:"My father, Talq bin 'Ali visited me one day in Ramadan and stayed with us until the evening. He led us in praying Qiyam that night and prayed witr with us. Then he went down to a masjid and led his companions in prayer until only witr was left. Then he told a man to go forward and said to him: 'Lead them in praying witr, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: There should not be two witrs in one night

قیس بن طلق کہتے ہیں ہمارے والد طلق بن علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے رمضان میں ایک دن ہماری زیارت کی اور ہمارے ساتھ انہوں نے رات گزاری، ہمارے ساتھ اس رات نماز تہجد ادا کی، اور وتر بھی پڑھی، پھر وہ ایک مسجد میں گئے، اور اس مسجد والوں کو انہوں نے نماز پڑھائی یہاں تک کہ وتر باقی رہ گئی، تو انہوں نے ایک شخص کو آگے بڑھایا، اور اس سے کہا: انہیں وتر پڑھاؤ، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: ایک رات میں دو وتر نہیں ۔
