Rapporté par 'Imran bin Husain : « J’ai demandé au Prophète (ﷺ) à propos de celui qui prie assis. Il a dit : ‘Celui qui prie debout est meilleur, et celui qui prie assis reçoit la moitié de la récompense de celui qui prie debout. Et celui qui prie allongé reçoit la moitié de la récompense de celui qui prie assis.’ »

أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا قَالَ " مَنْ صَلَّى قَائِمًا فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ وَمَنْ صَلَّى قَاعِدًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَائِمِ وَمَنْ صَلَّى نَائِمًا فَلَهُ نِصْفُ أَجْرِ الْقَاعِدِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Imran bin Husain said:"I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about one who prays sitting down. He said: 'Whoever prays standing up is better, and one who prays sitting down will have half the reward of one who prays standing up. And whoever prays lying down will have half the reward of one who prays sitting down

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھنے والے شخص کے بارے میں پوچھا: تو آپ نے فرمایا: جس نے کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھی وہ سب سے افضل ہے، اور جس نے بیٹھ کر نماز پڑھی تو اسے کھڑے ہو کر پڑھنے والے کی نماز کا آدھا ثواب ملے گا، اور جس نے لیٹ کر نماز پڑھی تو اسے بیٹھ کر پڑھنے والے کے آدھا ملے گا ۱؎۔
