Rapporté par Ya'la bin Mamlak : Il a dit qu’il a interrogé Umm Salamah, l’épouse du Prophète (ﷺ), au sujet de la récitation et de la prière du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Elle a répondu : "Qu’est-ce que tu veux savoir sur sa prière (c’est-à-dire, tu ne pourras jamais l’égaler) ? Il priait, puis dormait aussi longtemps qu’il avait prié, puis il priait aussi longtemps qu’il avait dormi, puis il dormait aussi longtemps qu’il avait prié, jusqu’à l’arrivée de l’aube." Ensuite, elle lui a décrit sa récitation, en disant qu’elle était claire et que chaque lettre était bien distincte

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَنْ صَلاَتِهِ فَقَالَتْ مَا لَكُمْ وَصَلاَتَهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ثُمَّ يَنَامُ قَدْرَ مَا صَلَّى ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي قَدْرَ مَا نَامَ ثُمَّ يَنَامُ قَدْرَ مَا صَلَّى حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ . ثُمَّ نَعَتَتْ لَهُ قِرَاءَتَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَنْعَتُ قِرَاءَةً مُفَسَّرَةً حَرْفًا حَرْفًا .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ya'la bin Mamlak that he asked Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) about the recitation and prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She said:"What do you want to know about his prayer (I.e., you can never match it)? He used to pray, then sleep for as long as he had prayed, then he would pray as long as he had slept, then he would sleep as long as he had prayed, until dawn came." Then she described to him his recitation, and she described a clear recitation in which every letter was distinct

یعلیٰ بن مملک سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی قرآت اور آپ کی نماز کے متعلق سوال کیا، تو انہوں نے کہا: تمہیں آپ کی نماز سے کیا سروکار؟ ۱؎ آپ نماز پڑھتے تھے، پھر جتنی دیر تک آپ نے نماز پڑھی تھی اسی کے بقدر آپ سوتے، پھر جتنی دیر تک سوئے تھے اسی کے بقدر آپ اٹھ کر نماز پڑھتے، پھر جتنی دیر تک نماز پڑھی تھی اسی کے بقدر آپ سوتے یہاں تک کہ آپ صبح کرتے، پھر انہوں نے ان سے آپ کی قرآت کی کیفیت بیان کی، تو وہ ایک ایک حرف واضح کر کے بیان کر رہی تھیں۔
