Rapporté par Simak : J’ai demandé à Jabir : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) prononçait-il le sermon debout ? » Il a répondu : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) prononçait le sermon debout, puis il s’asseyait un moment, puis se relevait. »

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً ثُمَّ يَقُومُ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Simak said:"I asked Jabir: 'Did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) deliver the Khutbah standing?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to deliver the Khutbah standing, then he would sit for a while, then stand up again

سماک کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ دیتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہو کر خطبہ دیتے تھے، پھر آپ کچھ دیر بیٹھتے تھے پھر کھڑے ہو جاتے تھے۔
