Rapporté par Wa’il bin Hujr : Je suis venu voir le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et je l’ai vu lever les mains à hauteur des épaules au début de la prière et avant de s’incliner. Lorsqu’il s’asseyait après les deux premières rak‘as, il s’asseyait sur son pied gauche et gardait le pied droit dressé. Il posait sa main droite sur sa cuisse droite et levait son doigt pour l’invocation, et posait sa main gauche sur sa cuisse gauche. Il a ajouté : "L’année suivante, je suis revenu et je les ai vus lever les mains à l’intérieur de leurs manteaux

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاَةَ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَإِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ أَضْجَعَ الْيُسْرَى وَنَصَبَ الْيُمْنَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَنَصَبَ أُصْبُعَهُ لِلدُّعَاءِ وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى . قَالَ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُمْ مِنْ قَابِلٍ فَرَأَيْتُهُمْ يَرْفَعُونَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي الْبَرَانِسِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Wa'il bin Hujr said:"I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and I saw him raising his hands when he started to pray until they were in level with his shoulders, and when he wanted to bow. When he sat following the first two rak'ahs, he sat on his left foot and held the right foot upright. He placed his right hand on his right thigh and raised his finger for the supplication, and he placed his left hand on his left thigh." He said: "Then I came the following year and I saw them raising their hands inside their Baranis

وائل بن حجر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا تو میں نے آپ کو دیکھا کہ جب آپ نماز شروع کرتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھاتے یہاں تک کہ اپنے دونوں کندھوں کے بالمقابل کر لیتے، اور جب رکوع کرنے کا ارادہ کرتے تو بھی ایسے ہی اٹھاتے، اور جب دو رکعت پڑھ کر بیٹھتے تو بائیں پیر کو بچھا دیتے، اور دائیں کو کھڑا رکھتے، اور اپنے دائیں ہاتھ کو دائیں ران پر رکھتے، اور ( شہادت کی ) انگلی دعا کے لیے کھڑی رکھتے، اور اپنے بائیں ہاتھ کو اپنی بائیں ران پر رکھتے۔ وائل رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: پھر میں آئندہ سال ان لوگوں کے پاس آیا، تو میں نے لوگوں کو جبوں کے اندر اپنے ہاتھ اٹھاتے ہوئے دیکھا۔
