كتاب افتتاح الصلاة
Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Je n’ai jamais prié derrière quelqu’un dont la prière ressemblait autant à celle du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) que celle d’untel. (Le rapporteur) Sulaiman a dit : « Il allongeait les deux premières unités du zuhr et raccourcissait les deux dernières, et il faisait l’asr plus courte ; au maghrib il récitait les courtes sourates Mufassal, à l’isha les sourates Mufassal de longueur moyenne et au subh les longues sourates Mufassal. »

أَخْبَرَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ مَا صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ أَحَدٍ أَشْبَهَ صَلاَةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ فُلاَنٍ . قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ كَانَ يُطِيلُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الأُخْرَيَيْنِ وَيُخَفِّفُ الْعَصْرَ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ بِقِصَارِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ بِوَسَطِ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَيَقْرَأُ فِي الصُّبْحِ بِطُوَلِ الْمُفَصَّلِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:"I have never prayed behind anyone whose prayer more closely resembled that of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) than so-and-so." (The narrator) Sulaiman siad: "He used to make the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr lengthy and the last two shorter, and he would make 'Asr shorter; in Maghrib he would recite the short Mufassal surahs, in Isha' the medium-length Mufassal surahs and in Subh the long Mufassal surahs

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے کسی کے پیچھے ایسی نماز نہیں پڑھی جو فلاں ۱؎ کی نماز سے بڑھ کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کے مشابہ ہو، سلیمان کہتے ہیں: وہ ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتیں لمبی کرتے اور آخری دونوں رکعتیں ہلکی کرتے، اور عصر کو ہلکی کرتے، اور مغرب میں «قصارِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے، اور عشاء میں«وساطِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے، اور فجر میں «طوالِ» مفصل پڑھتے تھے۔
