كتاب افتتاح الصلاة
Rapporté par Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah : Son père lui a raconté : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) récitait pour nous dans les deux premières unités de la prière du zuhr, et il nous faisait parfois entendre un verset. Il allongeait la première unité et raccourcissait la seconde. Il faisait la même chose dans la prière du subh : la première unité était plus longue que la seconde. Et il récitait aussi dans les deux premières unités de l’asr, en allongeant la première et en raccourcissant la seconde. »

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ بِنَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ وَيُسْمِعُنَا الآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا وَيُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَكَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ فِي صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِنَا فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ يُطَوِّلُ الأُولَى وَيُقَصِّرُ الثَّانِيَةَ .

Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrated that:His father told him: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite for us in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr prayer, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes. He would make the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter. And he used to do that in Subh too, make the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter. And he used to recite in the first two rak'ahs of 'Asr prayer, making the first rak'ah longer and the second shorter

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہم پر ظہر کی پہلی دو رکعتوں میں قرآت کرتے، اور کبھی کبھار آپ ہمیں ایک آدھ آیت سنا دیتے، پہلی رکعت میں لمبی قرآت کرتے اور دوسری رکعت میں اس سے کم، اور فجر میں بھی ایسے ہی کرتے تھے پہلی میں لمبی قرآت کرتے اور دوسری میں اس سے کم کرتے، اور عصر میں بھی پہلی دونوں رکعتوں میں ہم پر قرآت کرتے، پہلی میں لمبی کرتے اور دوسری میں اس سے کم۔
