Hadith 823 — Livre 10: The Book of Leading the Prayer (Al-Imamah)

Rapporté par Abu Hurairah : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Quand l’un d’entre vous dirige la prière pour les gens, qu’il la fasse courte, car parmi eux il y a des malades, des faibles et des personnes âgées. Et quand l’un d’entre vous prie seul, qu’il la fasse aussi longue qu’il le souhaite. »

Texte arabe original
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ بِالنَّاسِ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ السَّقِيمَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ فَإِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ لِنَفْسِهِ فَلْيُطَوِّلْ مَا شَاءَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ)said:"When any one of you leads the people in prayer, let him make it short, for among them are the sick, the weak and the elderly. And when any one of you prays by himself, let him make it as long as he wishes
Traduction en ourdou
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائے تو ہلکی پڑھائے، کیونکہ ان میں بیمار، کمزور اور بوڑھے لوگ بھی ہوتے ہیں، اور جب کوئی تنہا نماز پڑھے تو جتنی چاہے لمبی کرے ۔
