Rapporté par An-Nazzal bin Sabrah : J'ai vu 'Ali (qu'Allah soit satisfait de lui) prier la prière du Zuhr, puis il s'est assis pour répondre aux besoins des gens. Quand l'heure de 'Asr est arrivée, on lui a apporté un récipient d'eau. Il en a pris une poignée et s'est essuyé le visage, les avant-bras, la tête et les pieds, puis il a bu le reste debout. Il a dit : "Les gens n'aiment pas cela, mais j'ai vu le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) le faire. C'est l'ablution de celui qui n'a pas perdu son état de pureté

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّزَّالَ بْنَ سَبْرَةَ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا - رضى الله عنه - صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ لِحَوَائِجِ النَّاسِ فَلَمَّا حَضَرَتِ الْعَصْرُ أُتِيَ بِتَوْرٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ كَفًّا فَمَسَحَ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ وَرَأْسَهُ وَرِجْلَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ فَضْلَهُ فَشَرِبَ قَائِمًا وَقَالَ إِنَّ نَاسًا يَكْرَهُونَ هَذَا وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَفْعَلُهُ وَهَذَا وُضُوءُ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْدِثْ .
Traduction anglaise
An-Nazzal bin Sabrah said:"I saw 'Ali (may Allah be please with him) praying Zuhr, then he sat to tend to the people's needs, and when the time for 'Asr came, a vessel of water was brought to him. He took a handful of it and wiped his face, forearms, head and feet with it, then he took what was left and drank standing up. He said: 'People dislike this, but I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) doing it. This is the Wudu' of one who has not committed Hadath

عبدالملک بن میسرہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نزال بن سبرہ سے سنا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ آپ نے ظہر کی نماز پڑھی، پھر لوگوں کی ضرورتیں پوری کرنے یعنی ان کے مقدمات نپٹانے کے لیے بیٹھے، جب عصر کا وقت ہوا تو پانی کا ایک برتن لایا گیا، آپ نے اس سے ایک ہتھیلی میں پانی لیا، پھر اسے اپنے چہرہ، اپنے دونوں بازو، سر اور دونوں پیروں پر ملا ۱؎، پھر بچا ہوا پانی لیا اور کھڑے ہو کر پیا، اور کہنے لگے کہ کچھ لوگ اسے ناپسند کرتے ہیں حالانکہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایسا کرتے دیکھا ہے، اور یہ ان لوگوں کا وضو ہے جن کا وضو نہیں ٹوٹا ہے۔
