كتاب قصر الصلاة
On rapporta à Malek, que Ali Ibn Houssein disait: «quand l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) avait à voyager une journée (dans ses expéditions), il réunissait les deux prières du midi et de l'asr. Et, s'il voulait poursuivre sa marche, encore durant la nuit, il réunissait celles du coucher du soleil et du soir». Chapitre II La prière abrégée en voyage

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسِيرَ يَوْمَهُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسِيرَ لَيْلَهُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that AIi ibn Husain used to say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would join dhuhr and asr if he wished to travel the same day, and he would join maghrib and isha if he wished to travel the same night
Traduction en ourdou
ابن شہاب نے پوچھا سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر سے کیا سفر میں ظہر اور عصر جمع کی جائیں بولے کچھ حرج نہیں ہے کیا تم نے عرفات میں نہیں دیکھا ظہر اور عصر کو جمع کر تے ہیں ۔ امام زین العابدین سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب دن کو چلنا چاہتے ظہر اور عصر کو جمع کر لیتے اور جب رات کو چلنا چاہتے مغرب اور عشاء کو جمع کر لیتے ۔
