كتاب العلم
On rapporta à Malek que Loqman al-Hakim conseillant son fils, lui dit: «Fils! Tiens compagnie aux savants, et fais leur concurrence; car Allah ravive les cœurs par la lumière de la sagesse, tout comme il fait revivre la terre par une pluie abondante». باب مَا جَاءَ فِي طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٌ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ لُقْمَانَ الْحَكِيمَ، أَوْصَى ابْنَهُ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَىَّ جَالِسِ الْعُلَمَاءَ وَزَاحِمْهُمْ بِرُكْبَتَيْكَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحْيِي الْقُلُوبَ بِنُورِ الْحِكْمَةِ كَمَا يُحْيِي اللَّهُ الأَرْضَ الْمَيْتَةَ بِوَابِلِ السَّمَاءِ
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik that he heard that Luqman al-Hakim made his will and counselled his son, saying, "My son! Sit with the learned men and keep close to them. Allah gives life to the hearts with the light of wisdom as Allah gives life to the dead earth with the abundant rain of the sky
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت لقمان فرماتے تھے اپنے بیٹے سے (مرتے وقت اس بیٹے کا نام شکو تھا یا اسم) کہ اے میرے بیٹے عالموں کے پاس بیٹھا کر اور اپنے گھٹنے ان سے ملادے کیونکہ اللہ جل جلالہ جلاتا (آباد کرتا) ہے دلوں کو حکمت کے نور سے جیسے جلاتا (آباد کرتا) ہے مری ہوئی زمین کو بارش سے۔
