كتاب الشعر
Houmaid Ibn Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf a rapporté qu'il a entendu Mouawia Ibn Abi Soufian, l'année de son pèlerinage, dire, tout en étant sur la chaire et en prenant une mèche de cheveux se trouvant dans la main d'un garde: «Ô Médinois! Où sont-ils vos Oulémas? J'ai entendu l'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) interdire une telle chose, et dire: «D'ailleurs les Bani Israël ont connu la défaite, du jour même où leurs femmes se sont servies de faux cheveux»

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَامَ حَجَّ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَتَنَاوَلَ قُصَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ كَانَتْ فِي يَدِ حَرَسِيٍّ يَقُولُ يَا أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَى عَنْ مِثْلِ هَذِهِ وَيَقُولُ " إِنَّمَا هَلَكَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخَذَ هَذِهِ نِسَاؤُهُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Humay ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf heard Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan say from the mimbar in the year that he performed the hajj, holding a lock of hair (i.e. a hairpiece) which he took from one of his guards, "People of Madina! Where are your learned men? I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbid the like of this, saying, 'The Banu Israil were destroyed when their women started to use this
Traduction en ourdou
حمید بن عبدالرحمن بن عوف سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے معاویہ بن ابوسفیان سے سنا جس سال انہوں نے حج کیا اور وہ منبر پر تھے انہوں نے ایک بالوں کا چٹلا اپنے خادم کے ہاتھ سے لیا اور کہتے تھے کہ اے مدینہ والو کہاں ہیں علماء تمہارے؟ سنا میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے منع کرتے تھے اس سے اور فرماتے تھے کہ تباہ ہوئے بنی اسرائیل جب ان کی عورتوں نے یہ کام شروع کیا ۔
